So far, my group has run into a few issues. We had some problems trimming down our problem statement to only apply to one problem. At first, we were trying to solve too many problems at once so we had to decide what problem in specific we should focus on. We also had some trouble finding statistics general enough to be used in our research. In spite of these problems, my group has worked really well together. We have taken these problems in stride and are keeping out spirits high. This is a project we are all really excited for and I think we're really lucky to have all ended up together.
I anticipate that finding an expert in this field that is willing to help us could be a significant problem. Although this is a big problem (and a big business) it may be hard to find an expert small enough who has the time and passion for the project and to help us, but big enough to have some real knowledge and insight on our project.
I am finishing up my UC personal insight questions right now. They've all been written and edited, I am just making my final touch-ups. I always heard about how much work the actual applications are, trying to write unique and powerful essays, while making yourself stand out in the sea of applicants. However I never really heard about how hard it is to actually decide what schools you would like to apply to. Most students have a general idea of schools they might like to apply to, but when it really comes down to deciding where you'd like to spend the next four years and arguably the most important time of your educational life, the decision isnt as easy as it seemed.
